We’re delighted to share that Lee Greenwood, founder of Own Pace Outfitters, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS).
The Royal Geographical Society is the UK’s learned society for geography, supporting geographical research, education, and expeditions since 1830. Fellowship recognises a sustained contribution to the field — in Lee’s case, years spent planning and leading expeditions, and building the outdoor education programmes that Own Pace Outfitters, Zanshin Archery, and Greenwood Bushcraft now deliver under Independent Youth Volunteer Support (IYVS).
It’s a fitting recognition for work that has always been about the same thing: getting young people out into the field, safely and confidently, at their own pace.
Lee will now use the post-nominal FRGS — you can read more about his background on the about page.
